Is there a report that shows my rental history?
- No, there is not a report that shows your full rental history.
In a nutshell, there is not a report that shows your FULL & ACCURATE rental history. MOST landlords do not report your rent payments to the three bureaus.
Typically, a landlord will only report your negative payments or in most cases if you were evicted and you owe them money. You might ask yourself, why is this? This is because it cost the landlord money or time to report tenets payments to the bureaus and landlords have “more important” things to do.
Where do you start?
Probably the best way to get an idea of your rental history is to do a credit check with the three bureaus. You can have your credit report pulled from various websites on the internet. This will allow you to see if there are any issues or items that are incorrectly being reported.
Can you have your current rent payments and history reported to the three credit bureaus?
Yes. That is what we do here at CanRentBuildCredit.com. We help tenets and landlords report monthly to the credit bureaus. Plus we take your last two years of rental history and report that as well. For a nominal fee, and a little assistance from you, we communicate the amount directly with the credit bureaus.
